Building Your Practice – The Business of Helping
This Special Offer personalizes the learning needs required to successfully run a Private Practice or Clinic. Together with your passion to help others combined with your training to provide excellent services, you may just be successful. A mindset that establishes that in helping others and charging fees, you are running a business. That is what this course is about: being a business person operating within the legal, financial, taxation and governmental requirements of Canada while doing what you are passionate about in helping others and giving back to your community.
The new approach will consist of only one group class. It will cover the financial, legal and government registration, if necessary, the HST and client record keeping. You will receive all the learning material to go through and keep as a resource.
How is this personalised? – I will meet with you individually (live or via zoom) focusing on you and your practise. Rather than sitting through other peoples’ learnings and struggles etc. in a class, we will concentrate solely on you, your practice and any questions that arise from your reading, exercises and experiences. We will meet 4 times from 60 to 90 minutes each.
In short, the structure will have me Coaching you, to kick off your practise with an actual plan. We will structure your vision, define who are your clients, explore niche coaching interests, marketing, advertising, your fees and marketing packages.
If you previously took the Business course but you feel stuck, blocked, problems with negative thoughts, or suffering from impostor syndrome, you will be able to address any or all of these problems. Returning students are more than welcome. We do not have to be perfect to help others, we are human. We can learn though how to address our problems quickly and know what resources are available to us.
Who: Anyone who envisions establishing their own private practise, be it a Coaching Practice, a Healing Practice, a Psychotherapy Practice or a Spiritual Director Practise. You will be guided to establish a practise that adheres to all the legalities and treating your practice as a business with heart. Returning students are more than welcome.
When: At your own pace, sign up when you are ready to go. Your individual work will proceed based on your and Gord’s availability. A Waiting list is being utilized and operates on a first-come first-served basis. You may have to wait for the one group class, until there are enough people to form an on-line class but work is progressing for a video to be able to study the class material on your own.
Fees: $300.00 Inclusive. This gives you a minimum of 4.0 to 5.5 hours of one-on-one time plus you get the technical class on finances etc. This is a substantial savings of $400.00. Additionally, there is an important Ethics Course which can co-jointly be included in your extended one-on-one sessions.
$ 550.00 Inclusive. The Fee for the combined Business and Ethics Courses.
A Deposit of $100. is required to register and establish your date for any waiting list.
Pre-requisite- You are a graduate of or a current student of the Coaching program at Transformational Arts College
Instructor: Gord Riddell RP, BSSc.- Gord is a Registered Psychotherapist, a Life Coach, and a Spiritual Director. He is a Co-founder of the Transformational Arts College, established in 1988, and holds the position of President. He is also the President of the Canadian Humanistic and Transpersonal Association (CHTA). He is member of Spiritual Directors International (SDI). Gord also has maintained a private practise for over 45 years. He has over 40 years of running or overseeing various corporations and associations. He was a writer of a monthly column for a Wellness magazine and was an on-air host for a weekly radio talk show which ran for three years with Voice America – titled ‘Things Worth Considering.’
