Our Faculty

Our instructors are leaders and specialists in their fields and many are actively involved in the community and maintain their own private practices. We are committed to keeping abreast with the latest research and development and to expanding our professional skills.

Andrea Ashley, CCMA, teaches the Subtle Aromatherapy, Holistic Treatment Skills and assists with the Aromatherapy courses. She has diplomas in Organic Skin Care Formulation and Advanced Skin Care with extensive training in body treatments. Andrea is also certified in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Yoga and Aerial Yoga. She owns an Aromatherapy and D.I.Y Skin Care E-boutique, is the editor in chief of Holistic Beauty Magazine and is the creator and curator of the annual Expo; The Holistic Beauty Experience

 


Helena Borgers, RP, BA, is aRegistered Psychotherapist and teaches in the Total Self and Spiritual Psychotherapy programs as well as running a private office in Toronto. She is a graduate of Transformational Arts College completing the Spiritual/Body Psychotherapy and Divine Connections programs. Her Trauma-focused practice includes: EMDR, Brainspotting, Polyvagal Informed Safe and Sound Protocol, Hypnotherapy, EFT, Experiential Psychodynamic, Transpersonal and working knowledge of IFS among other therapies to treat issues including Adverse Childhood Experiences, Trauma/ PTSD and Grief. She counsels individuals (18+) and couples and is a certified Supervisor supervising individual therapists and groups.

 


Jennifer Drummond – is a graduate of York University in International Studies
and a graduate of the Spiritual Psychotherapy Program at Transformational Arts
College. She has an extensive background in the creation and implementation of
children’s programs. Jennifer joins the faculty as a specialist instructor in diversity,inclusion, and multi-culturalism. Jennifer is the Founder and President of RacialLens – a Client-centered consulting company creating safe spaces for difficult conversations about race. Jennifer’s work seeks not to shame, guilt or chastise anyone for the unconscious beliefs that so many hold about the races. Instead, she seeks to elevate through active discussions the inclusion of all in becoming anti-racial advocates.

 


Alexia Georgousis, Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine

Dr. Alexia Georgousis is a naturopathic doctor whose practice style is holistic and unique. Alexia believes the mind, body and Spirit are interconnected and our relationship to ourselves is the foundation of health. In addition to her naturopathic medical training, Alexia has formal training in interdisciplinary and transformative mindfulness, mind body medicine, core shamanism, mysticism and life coaching. She also has an extensive background in Naturopathic Medical Education as former Associate Dean of Clinical Studies at the Boucher institute of Naturopathic Medicine, and clinical faculty at Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Alexia currently teaches Pathology and Homeopathy at the Transformational Arts College in Toronto. She is also the co-host of the podcast Things Worth Considering with Gord Riddell, the founder of TAC.

Alexia believes the true purpose of our lives is to expand, soften, and evolve through our pain. And and that true healing comes from trusting our own inner guidance. Her intention is to help empower people through learning to connect to their authentic self as part of nature. Having experienced Burnout herself, Alexia refers to this state of overwhelm as breaking open, where we let go and release the patterns, imprints and beliefs that no longer serve ourselves and others.

 


Sabastian Glass, BA, DTS, is currently an administrative assistant at our college. With an academic background in philosophy, theology, and religious studies. He is a graduate of the Spiritual Director Program and he is completing the Spiritual Psychotherapy, and Energetics programs. He currently serves as a teaching apprentice in our Total Self program. Sabastian is also a Reiki Master and practices privately.

 


Krys Jawlosewicz, BAA, CNHP, RIHR, is a Certified Natural Healthcare Practitioner, Certified Soul Coach®, Intuitive Counsellor, Spiritual Director, and Reiki Master. Krys teaches in the Holistic Health and Total Self programs. A graduate of the College’s Spiritual Psychotherapy, Holistic Health and Spiritual Director programs, Krys is a workshop facilitator and has a private healing and wellness practice.

We are pleased to welcome Karen Jay-Moore as a Faculty member of Transformational Arts College. Karen is teaching the Discovering the Total Self Program in Orillia, Ontario. Having an on-site location in Orillia opens the door for Central Ontario to have the experience of the Discovering the Total Self Program as both a theoretical and experiential series of modules and to meet others with whom you share your interests in personal and spiritual development.

Karen is a Psychotherapist and Holistic Practitioner: Reiki Master, Spiritual Medium, End of Life Doula and Reflexologist. With a varied background Karen believes in a holistic approach to health and wellness. Karen spent 25 years in education as teacher/Special Needs, Guidance/Administrator, and 7 years in Hospice in various roles. Karen is an experienced group facilitator and Spiritual Teacher.

 

 


Linda Kuschnir, RP, is the Registrar and Managing Director at the College. She is a Registered Psychotherapist, Spiritual Director, Holistic Energy Work Practitioner, Reiki Master and Life Coach. She is a graduate of and teacher in the Total Self, Esoteric Spiritual Studies, Spiritual Psychotherapy, Spiritual Director and Holistic Programs. She is also the student advisor for all programs at Transformational Arts. Linda’s previous background was in publishing and association management.

 


Chris Lamont is a clinical herbalist, educator, and manufacturer of herbal remedies. He is a graduate of the International College of Herbal Medicine, founded by world-renowned herbalist Isla Burgess. He also completed an 11 year apprenticeship in clinical herbal therapy and medicine manufacturing. Chris became a registered herbalist and member of the Ontario Herbalists Association in 2014 and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the OHA since 2015. He now practices clinical herbal medicine in both Toronto, ON and Dundas, ON.


Angela MacDonald, BBA-HR, CAE is a coach, learning and development consultant, author, and owner of The Center to Really Live Inc. Her mission is to help people discover their inner power and ability to heal, increase self-awareness, and live an authentic life. Through her coaching work and facilitating workshops, she is committed to helping people unleash their greatest potential and transform the impossible to “I’m-possible!”

Angela’s education includes: BBA in Human Resources Management, Post-Graduate Certificate in Positive Psychology Health and Wellness Coaching, and a Diploma in Nutrition. Angela is a graduate of the Spiritual Psychotherapy Program, Spiritual Director Program, and Discovering the Total Self Modules at the Transformational Arts College. She is also certified in Adult Education, Adler Coaching, Creativity and Creative Problem Solving, Korn Ferry 360, and Mental Health First Aid, along with certification in a multitude of Psychometric Assessments for emotional intelligence, wellness, career, and leadership development.

She is a member of Human Resources Practitioner Association (HRPA) and International Coaching Federation (ICF).

 


Deb Maybury R..P (Qualifying), B.A. Brainspotting Therapist Deb teaches in the Spiritual Psychotherapy program. She is the author of Unlock The Door – Beyond Sexual Abuse and What Is Your Teenage Daughter Afraid Of? She facilitates groups for people who have been sexually violated in childhood and has a private practice in Toronto. Deb is also a black belt, film-maker, musician, and practitioner of Spiritual Technology.

 

 


Juliana Nogueira CNP, RH  is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and Registered Herbalist. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge of the art and science of herbal medicine, while nurturing a deeper connection to the natural world. Her private practice focuses on digestive wellness and women’s health. She believes in finding and treating the root cause of health imbalances in an individualized approach to health care. Her treatment tools involve in depth
dietary counseling and botanical medicine. Juliana is also a skilled handcrafter of herbal remedies with a special interest in topical formulations

 

 


Pauline O’Hanlon, teaches in the Total Self, Esoteric Spiritual Studies, Spiritual Director and Spiritual Psychotherapy programs and is a Co-ordinator for our Counselling Clinic. She is a graduate of the College’s Spiritual Psychotherapy program, an NLP Master, and a Spiritual Director and has taught within the public school system for many years.

 


Joe Palumbo, RMT, has been a massage therapist since 2000 and teaches Anatomy and Physiology and Swedish Basics in the Holistic program. His focus in his private massage practice is on structural reintegration and rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries based on the osteopathic principle of “structure governs function.”

 


Alex Pereklita is a Tao Shiatsu instructor and therapist, leading workshops, and classes in Canada and internationally. He teaches Shiatsu Basics in the Holistic Program. He is also a guest lecturer on Buddhism in the Spiritual Director program. He is also a Buddhist priest, loves Aikido, and finds great peace in the practice of tea ceremony and sumi-e. Alex started the Tao Sangha Centre in Toronto over 14 years ago with the wish to build a stronger community where people’s lives become richer through the heart of giving.

 


Pat Rigby is the Financial and Holistic Coordinator for the College. She is a graduate of the Holistic Health program and owns and designs her own natural products line. Pat manages student accounts and assists students with program tuition payment plans.

 


Ken Sullivan, RP, is a facilitator for the Total Self, Spiritual Psychotherapy and Body-Centred Therapy programs and Intensives. He is a Registered Psychotherapist for our Clinic, a Case Supervisor and runs therapy groups. Ken is a graduate of the Spiritual/Body Psychotherapy and Relationship Counselling programs and is also in private practice.

 

 


Ara Wiseman, R.N.C.P., R.I.H.N., is a leading nutritional expert, author and teaches the Nutrition course in Holistic Studies. Her private practice is focused on nutrition counselling for addictions, weight loss, detoxification, hormonal imbalances, cancer and heart disease. She has written and published three books: Feed Your Body, Feed Your Soul, Skin Deep-How to Diminish Cellulite and The Healing Option.

Michal is a Registered Wedding Officiant (CIMM), Reiki Master, Women’s Circle Facilitator and a graduate of the Spiritual Director program at Transformational Arts College. With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Michal currently teaches the Reiki course at the Transformational Arts College. As an intuitive healer, Michal firmly believes that serving others is a beautiful gift she can offer to make a positive impact in the world. She believes in a holistic approach to health and wellness. Michal’s intention is to empower others, by providing spiritual healing and practical tools for everyday use. Michal is a strong believer that we grow when we allow ourselves to feel in order to heal. Michal offers small group sessions, facilitates circles and also practices privately.
